I'm Lizzy, Christian Birth Doula and Placenta Specialist serving Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR.
The birth of your baby will stay with you throughout your lifetime, and I believe every pregnant woman should have the support and knowledge needed to have the best birth experience possible. As your doula, I will do my best to prepare you for labor and the postpartum period so you can look back on your birth with feelings of accomplishment and empowerment.

SERVICES
PRENATAL VISITS
From the time we meet until delivery I will take the time to get to know you and your partner and be available by phone or email to assist you with any questions or concerns that may arise. Together we will discuss your birth preferences, create a birth plan, teach you physical and emotional comfort measures for labor and create a postpartum plan. When you reach 38 weeks of pregnancy I will be on call for you 24/7 until labor begins.
LABOR SUPPORT
Once labor begins, I will join you at your home or the birthing location to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support throughout the duration of labor. Partners are also a big part of the labor process and if desired, I will help them to be involved in this process as well.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
After baby arrives I will continue to support you during those first few weeks after birth as you adjust to your new routine. I will make sure you have established breastfeeding or bottle feeding and be there for emotional support as well. I want to make sure the transition to life with a new baby goes as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION
I use the Traditional Chinese Method (TCM) for encapsulation. This way of preparation takes about 24 hours. I steam the placenta with lemon and ginger, dehydrate it overnight and then grind it into a fine powder and place it into vegetable capsules for consumption. I also offer raw preparation for smoothies, tinctures, placenta prints and cord keepsakes.

Birth Package - $1,600 This package includes two prenatal appointments, pregnancy support by text/phone, continuous support throughout labor, and one postpartum visit. *Payment plans or sliding scale fee are available. Please contact me and we can discuss this further.

Placenta Encapsulation -
Package 1: $400-Includes placenta capsules, two placenta tinctures, placenta print and umbilical cord keepsake.
Package 2: $300- Placenta capsules only.
*$50 discount given to established doula clients.
*$30 Transportation of placenta from place of birth to your home (waived for established doula clients)
